Advantages of Prepaid Cell Phones (Tracfones)

AHH, The many wonders of prepaid cell phones! You will begin to wonder why you haven’t been taking advantage of them once you discover the bonuses. You may begin to wonder why you ever had anything else!

#1 - They can't be traced! You don't have to give out your personal information (isn't there enough of that already?); you can say you are John Doe at 123 main streetor Joe Blow from Kokomo - they don't care-just pay up and your on your way. Handy if you do Not want to be traced - or have your calls traced. Tracfones are amazingly great for this.

#2 - No more contracts - Uggg! Standard cell phone contracts are usually at least one year. A YEAR! Cell phone providers only accept these contracts because they want to have customers stay with their service as long as possible. Providers are mighty aware of the fact that opposing cell phone providers will no doubt be running specials to undercut them. With contracts, people face penalties to change carriers, and decide that it is just cheaper to stay with the same carrier. Want to switch carriers and take your # with you? Pay even more!

#3 - Overtime Fees! I am sure that you have opened your cell phone bill and cried, sworn or thrown something. You have gone over your minutes or you have long distance charges, or (worst of all) roaming charges.

You pay an ungawdly price for this. Never an issue with prepaids. Once you've used the minutes purchased; DONE. You know precisly where you stand. By paying for everything in advance at a specific rate, you know exactly where you're at. You can use those prepaid minutes anytime, anywhere you need them.

#4 - Buy only minutes you want and/or can afford. My dad does this just so he can have the phone for 911 (he keeps thinking he's going to crash his car.) If this is the main reason you want or have a cell phone, then your minutes will probably last for months or even years!

These are a few of the many pluses for using prepaid cell phones. If you are looking for a better way - go pre-paid. Many carriers are offering these options to their clients already (they have no choice because we are MAD!)
